Starflower cream is a gentle cream for moisturizing dry skin conditions.  It was formulated by Napiers herbalists working with patients to manage eczema, dematitis and other similar conditions.  It contains a blend of Borage, Chamomile and Chick-weed oils with soothing anti-inflammatory, anti-itch and moisturizing properties.

Moisturizers are an effective first-line treatment to decrease symptoms of eczema and reduce the need to use steroids.

Borage Oil, extracted from the seeds of the Starflower herb,is a natural source of gamma-Linolenic Acid (GLA), an important Omega-6 fatty acid needed for healthy skin cell walls.  Without sufficient GLA, cells can't retain enough moisture, resulting in dry skin and other chronic skin problems.  Borage Oil penetrates deep, delivering GLA and its benefits directly to the cells.

Chamomile cream has been trialled in studies alongside 0.5% hydrocortisone cream and a placebo.  After 2 weeks, chamomile cream was founf to be more effective than the hydrocortisone cream.
